Polegreen Nurseries - Garden Centre Structure
Ebtech Glasshouse Systems successfully designed and constructed a new garden centre extension for Polegreen Nurseries in Chorley.
The objective was clear: to increase internal retail space and create additional room for garden centre stock. Working closely with the client, Ebtech developed a tailored structural solution that maximised usable floor area. By incorporating an under-gutter trellis system, we eliminated the need for a row of internal support posts — providing uninterrupted space and greater flexibility for product displays.
The structure was manufactured using specifically engineered galvanised steel posts and trellis beams, ensuring long-term durability and strength. To enhance thermal performance, 40mm insulated roof and wall panels were installed, delivering excellent heat retention in winter while maintaining a cooler environment during the summer months.
The result is a practical, efficient retail extension that increases trading space while providing a comfortable environment for both customers and stock.
