Mayfield Garden Centre - Composite Re-Roof

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems recently completed the successful replacement of a wide-span polycarbonate roof at Mayfield Garden Centre in Southampton. The project covered a total area of 469m² across two bays.

The new cladding system features 40mm thick SAB flat Goosewing grey composite panels, designed with rubber seals between each panel to ensure a fully watertight finish. To enhance natural lighting, the roof also incorporates clear twin-wall polycarbonate light panels, allowing increased daylight into the space.

Additionally, the existing gutters were protected with an aluminium profile for added durability and weather resistance.

This new roofing solution effectively addresses previous leaking issues while offering energy-saving benefits by retaining warmth during winter and providing cooling effects in the summer months. The upgrade significantly improves the garden centre’s operational environment and comfort throughout the year.
