Les Halman Nurseries - Screening Renovation

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems recently completed a comprehensive thermal screening renovation covering 4,184 m² for Les Halman Nurseries Ltd in Cheshire a leading bedding plant grower. The project involved the replacement of all nylon top and bottom wires, steel drive wires, and sealing pelmets, as well as the installation of new drive shaft bearings and high-performance screening cloth.

For this renovation, the team selected Svensson B.V.’s Harmony 5747 FR cloth, a fire-retardant material that delivers a 57% direct shading value and achieves up to 47% energy savings.

Ebtech installed the new screens in two zones of the glasshouse, further enhancing climate control and energy efficiency.

This upgrade has provided Les Halman Nurseries Ltd with improved environmental management within their glasshouses, contributing to better crop conditions and operational cost savings.
