John Innes Research Centre - Relocation of Polytunnels

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems Ltd is proud to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive polytunnel relocation and refurbishment project for one of our long standing customers.

This project involved the careful dismantling of two single-span structures, each measuring 24ft x 80ft, and relocating them to a new location.

Scope of works included :

Foundation Works:
Excavation and setting of new foundation tubes.
Structural Enhancements:
Full installation of new timber end frames and rails for each unit
Covering & Ventilation:
Installation of new diffused polythene and netting sheets
Reuse of existing gearboxes for wind-up vent system to ensure efficiency and sustainability
Installation of new hotspot tape to improve insulation and protect covers
Ground Preparation:
Internal ground levelled and sanded
Weed suppressant mypex membrane Installed
