Folkestone Garden Centre - Composite Re-roof
Ebtech Glasshouse Systems has successfully completed the replacement of a wide-span glasshouse roof at Folkestone Garden Centre, covering a total area of 1,500m² across four bays.
The upgraded roof features 120mm-thick SAB flat Goosewing grey composite panels, fitted with rubber seals between each panel to ensure a fully watertight finish. To maximise natural light, the roof also incorporates clear twin-wall polycarbonate panels, bringing increased daylight into the greenhouse.
Additionally, we installed 80mm thick SAB composite panels along 40 meters of the internal sidewall.
The existing gutters were enhanced with an aluminium profile, providing extra durability and resistance to the elements.
This modern roofing solution resolves previous leakage issues while offering energy efficiency benefits—retaining warmth in winter and helping to keep the space cooler during summer. Overall, the upgrade greatly enhances the garden centre’s operational environment and comfort throughout the year.
