Edward Baarda Ltd - Screening Renovation Phase 2
Ebtech Glasshouse Systems recently returned to long standing customer Edward Baarda Ltd, a leading tomato & cucumber grower, to complete phase 2 of a comprehensive thermal screening renovation covering 9,396 m² .
The project involved the replacement of all nylon top and bottom wires, steel drive wires, and sealing pelmets, as well as the installation of new drive shaft bearings and high-performance screening cloth.
For this renovation, the team selected Svensson B.V.’s Luxous Light FR cloth, a fire-retardant material that delivers a 13% direct shading value and achieves up to 47% energy savings.
This upgrade has provided Edward Baarda Ltd with improved environmental management within their glasshouses, contributing to better crop conditions and operational cost savings.
