Cooling's Lifestyle Garden Centre - Bespoke Glazing

Project Overview
Ebtech Glasshouse Systems completed an innovative glazing project at Cooling’s Lifestyle Garden Centre in Kent. The client aimed to enclose three existing wooden-framed arches and end walls to create a larger, more versatile internal show area.

Project Requirements
The client’s objectives for the new enclosed space were to protect the area from adverse weather conditions, create a functional and attractive show space, and enhance security.

Solution & Installation
To meet these goals, we installed opaque 10mm twin-wall polycarbonate panels, which were expertly secured using a framework composed of steel box sections, purlins, aluminium glazing bars, and cills. Each arch spans 11 meters in width, rises to a peak height of approximately 5.5 meters, and curves down to 2.5 meters at the lowest point. Due to these unique and varying dimensions, every glazing bar and polycarbonate panel was carefully measured and custom-cut on site to ensure a perfect fit.

Outcome
This transformation has turned what was once an open and exposed area into a striking, fully enclosed show space. The new design enhances functionality and serves as a visually appealing feature within the garden centre. The installation was completed successfully, earning high praise from the client for both the quality of work and the finished result.
