PROJECT

A. J. Busby Ltd - Energy Saving Screening Installation

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems completed a 22,224m² energy-saving screen installation for leading soft-fruit grower A. J. Bubsy Ltd in Staffordshire. The screening system was installed within a new polyhouse structure and was designed to provide improved climate and energy management across the growing area.

The system was divided into six independently controlled screening zones, each operated by a Ridder RW1600 three-phase motor. This allows the grower to operate each zone individually, providing greater flexibility to respond to changing climatic conditions and the different stages of crop development.

The installation uses Svensson Harmony 2845 screen cloth in a pull-wire system, providing an effective energy-saving solution suited to the requirements of modern soft-fruit production. The ability to control each zone independently gives A. J. Bubsy Ltd greater control over the growing environment while helping to optimise energy use.

The project demonstrates Ebtech Glasshouse Systems' expertise in delivering large-scale, bespoke screening solutions designed around the specific requirements of commercial horticultural growers.
