Replacing the screening within a two week time-window at Warwick University research glasshouses.
Ebtech Glasshouse Systems Ltd were successfully awarded the tender from Warwick University to replace the screening in a range of their experimental glasshouses at the Wellesbourne campus.
The works consisted of the removal and replacement of horizontal & vertical rolling side & gable screens.We replaced all fixing materials, some roll tubes & motors as well as support wires
In total we changed the screen cloth & fixings in 32 separate zones over a two week period.
The Horizontal screen material installed was Ludvig Svensson’s Harmony 5747 FR a fire retardant material with a 47% energy saving and a shade valve of approximately 57% from direct sunlight.
The rolling screen cloth was changed to Harmony 5845 R FR with an energy saving of 45% and a shade value of approximately 58% from direct sunlight.
In conjunction with our Dutch partners, another very successful screen installation was done to the complete customer satisfaction and in a period of time as not to effect ongoing experiments.
