SCREENS AT W S BENTLEY GROWERS LTD.

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems supplied and completed the installation of a screening system at the site of W S Bentley Growers Ltd in West Yorkshire.

Covering a Wide span glasshouse area of 419sqm, the screen cloth installed was Svensson’s Harmony 7247 FR  fire retardant material, designed to bring light to the plants from many angles and stimulate plant growth.

The 7247 Harmony material maintains a steady temperature and energy saving within the glasshouse, which minimizes the formation of dew on the crop, reducing the risk of fungal diseases.

The horizontal roof screen also has a slightly longer hangover on one side to provide a side wall screen to prevent light pollution to the nearby road.

The screening system operates on a wire driven mechanism operated by a Ridder drive motor.
