Following fire damage within an area of a glasshouse at Askham Bryan College, Ebtech Glasshouse Systems Ltd were awarded the task of rebuilding the glasshouse.
The first challenge was to find suitable materials to match what was originally there and attach to the remaining sections. Once all materials had been sought, we began the works of installing a new roof in a corner section of the glasshouse and the side wall. The thermal screen also suffered the effects of the fire and this was also replaced using Bonar’s fire retardant material. All works were successfully completed and the glasshouse continues to look like it did prior to the fire.
